The Anxiety Ends

Updated: Apr 23, 2020

After months of wondering when I might actually find out about housing in Ireland in order to purchase a plane ticket, it finally has happened. The email arrived a few weeks ago and I was able to contact the family I would be staying with. After many emails back and forth, I am pleased to say: I have officially found a place to stay. I don't know much about the family, but I'm definitely excited to find out more once I get there. Nicola and her family were extremely gracious when it came to my countless emails and anxiety about being in a foreign country by myself.

Once the housing was officially set up, it was time to purchase my plane ticket. After much deliberation with my parents and Sam, we have decided on my departure and arrival dates. I will be flying out of O'hare Airport on March 19 around 3:35 pm arriving in Dublin at 6:40 in the morning. I will be leaving Dublin on June 8 around 12:00 pm arriving back home at 8:15 pm due to the time difference. Finally the anxiety of housing and buying plane tickets is over. I'm super excited to start packing and continuing on my journey abroad.
