Let's Educate!
Here’s the bottom line: You’re here because you want to learn and evolve. Over the years, my class has helped students boost their confidence and academic ability. I am looking forward to working together.
Class Overview
Throughout my 4 years of college, I have done a lot of work to create amazing lesson plans for a wide variety of students.
Please take the opportunity to browse my lesson plans and activities.
Lesson Plans!
Learning can be stress-free if you plan ahead. Below you’ll find my variety of lesson plans.
The Harlem Renaissance
This lesson takes a look at a wide variety of African American authors from the Harlem Renaissance: Langston Hughes, Claude McKay, Arna Bontemps, etc. Our goal is to be able to understand what it meant to be African American during the Harlem Renaissance.
Silent Film Unit
This lesson focuses on the Silent Film Era and how it contributed to the modern movie era. Students dive into the history as well as all the aspects needed to create a perfect silent film.
Fairytale Project
This lesson asks students to take a fairytale and put their own twist on it. Students then break the fairytale down into 3 acts and write their own script, film, and edit to create a final movie project.
Film Analysis
This lesson asks students to know camera shots, angles, and movements. Students watch a film and then analyze how these shots, angles, and movements enhance the overall theme/genre.
News Report
This lesson asks students to pick a country and assign one of 5 roles. From there, they must research their country's culture, business, trade, and important news events. Students will film a news broadcast relaying their country's information.
